Projectivism and the finite search for wholeness
pp. 97-129
in: , Search without idols, Berlin, Springer, 1987Abstract
There are several things that should be discussed in this chapter to further our understanding both of the finite search and the quest for totalities. The first is to consider the finite search in relation to the ego which is a much maligned topic among totalists. If the totalists had their choice they would give the ego a vacuous look and have us looking and watching the changing scenes of life without a center from which to look and watch. The vacuous look is not the answer to the finite search for wholeness. What is needed is not a recalculation or recalibration of the ego, as though it's nothing but a big mistake, but a reconstitution and empowerment of the ego so it can be the center of focus in the finite search for wholeness.
