Abstract

Why is it so difficult — or even impossible — to agree on that which is most desired by all humans? Why is it so difficult — or even impossible — to say what and how it is even in speaking to oneself? For us, post-Greeks and post-moderns, its very name has become problematic. Is it found in "happiness," "well-being," "goodness," "success," "contentment," being led by a good demon or spirit, union with God?
