Rudolf Eucken
German philosopher. He was an influential public figure in his time, but his many writings are now relatively neglected. He received the Nobel prize in literature in 1908. Max Scheler studied with Eucken, whose positions are sometime seen as providing a bridge between idealism and phenomenology.
