Abstract

The problem I propose to discuss is far from being new; indeed, I have made several attempts already to deal with it myself. ¹ But I now think what I wrote about it earlier mistaken in detail if generally sound in principle, and therefore welcome the opportunity to make a fresh statement on the subject.
