Towards a theory of "comprehensive, critical and reflective experience"
pp. 138-147
in: , Experience and reason, The Hague, Nijhoff, 1973Abstract
No theory can be worked out without taking into account the central role played by reflection. A theory of language is the result of the reflection on the language. The theory of science thematizes the sciences with regard to their presuppositions, methods, results etc. from a higher level of reflection. Every theory thus implies necessarily a meta-stage of reflective investigations.
