Abstract

McTaggart put his finger on the respective weaknesses of the A and B theories of time: the B theory apparently cannot account for the possibility of change; the A theory is apparently inconsistent. Since McTaggart, A and B theorists have attempted to shore up the weaknesses of their respective views and to attack the weaknesses of their opponent's views.
